Roles & Responsibilities

Translate Business Needs: Collaborate across teams to convert business processes into technical data requirements.
Data Infrastructure: Utilize dbt, BigQuery, and SQL to construct Packback’s analytics foundation for self-service access.
Data Pipelines: Develop, optimize, and manage data pipelines using dbt, Airflow, and Python.
Data Integrity: Establish and enforce data integrity standards and SLAs for accurate data delivery.
Dashboard Development: Design and deploy insightful dashboards to monitor core company metrics.
Collaboration & Training: Work with business operations to define best practices in data modeling, analytics, and visualization.
Statistical Analysis: Conduct analyses and apply statistical methods to support business decisions and initiatives.
Research Leadership: Lead research with partner institutions to analyze Packback’s impact on student outcomes.
Technology Adoption: Advise on the integration of new technologies affecting Packback’s data infrastructure.

Qualifications

Experience: 2-5 years in analytics-focused roles (analytics engineer, data engineer, analyst/consultant).
Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL; experience with Python or other scripting languages.
Data Warehouses: Familiarity with modern data warehouses (e.g., BigQuery, Redshift, Snowflake).
Software Development: Knowledge of CI/CD, automated testing, and version control applied to data.
Visualization: Ability to create compelling visualizations using tools like Looker, Tableau, or PowerBI.
Business Acumen: Strong understanding of business needs; ability to translate complex requirements for non-technical stakeholders.
