Summary
Responsible for performing research and requirement analysis, creating and designing mapping documents, and presenting findings to appropriate team members, clients, and vendors. Determines best practices and provides suggestions on how to improve current practices.
Your Role in Our Mission
The candidate is expected to develop program specifications and mapping documents, perform analysis on data to understand transformation requirements, work with ETL/Reporting/Conversion staff to ensure code meets business requirements, test interfaces/reports to ensure requirements are met, and collaborate with other team members.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Create accurate mapping documents according to the mapping process.
- Deliver a first draft solution to ETL/Reporting/Conversion for coding by understanding which details about the mapping can be deferred.
- Support DSD creation and response.
- Present analysis and design recommendations to lead MITA teams, customers, and/or vendors for design acceptance.
- Support ETL/Reporting/Conversion developers based on the mappings created.
- Work closely with the configuration team and DBAs to ensure synchronicity of configuration to interfaces and mappings.
- Refine mapping documents, adding more detail and resolving deferred material as questions are resolved.
- Use SQL, data models, data element dictionary, and schema to perform data and business analysis.
- Create unit test cases for areas of responsibility.
- Validate test plan results that satisfy detailed design goals.
- Update technical specifications and mappings.
- Support Unit Testing, System Integration Testing, System Testing, and User Acceptance Testing.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Analytical and data analysis skills within a technical environment, preferably SQL.
- Healthcare knowledge within a claims processing environment, preferably in Medicaid.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).
- Ability to establish and maintain positive and effective work relationships with coworkers, clients, members, providers, and customers.
