Minimum Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience:
- 1 year in data analysis (identifying trends, generating summary statistics, drawing insights from data).
- 1 year in project management (defining project scope, goals, deliverables).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Education: Master’s degree in a quantitative discipline.
- Technical Skills:
- 1 year of experience or familiarity with programming languages such as SQL, R, Python, and/or C++.
- 1 year of experience or familiarity with machine learning systems.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
About the Job:
- Team’s Mission: The Trust & Safety team focuses on tackling major challenges to the safety and integrity of Google’s products. This includes identifying and fighting abuse and fraud cases across Google products like Search, Maps, Gmail, and Google Ads.
- Role Description: As an AI Protection Analyst, you will:
- Identify and investigate potential failure modes for Generative AI products, addressing a range of issues from sociotechnical harms to misuse.
- Perform in-depth risk analysis, measure, and mitigate AI-related risks using benchmarking, evaluations, dataset design, and usage monitoring.
- Prepare and present detailed analysis reports and findings to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with various Google teams to ensure understanding and adoption of solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Failure Mode Investigation: Identify and investigate possible failure modes for Generative AI products.
- Risk Analysis and Mitigation: Perform in-depth analysis of risks, measure and mitigate AI-related risks.
- Reporting: Prepare analysis reports and present findings and solutions.
- Collaboration: Work with other Google teams to understand and adopt solutions to identified issues.
