Job Description:
As a Senior Developer at HARMAN, you’ll be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining Java-based applications with an emphasis on high-volume and low-latency performance. You’ll leverage your expertise in Cloud technologies, particularly GCP, to enhance our systems. Proficiency in Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) Patterns and Concepts is essential, along with familiarity with various design and architectural patterns.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain Java-based applications optimized for high-volume and low-latency performance.
- Utilize Cloud technologies, preferably GCP, to enhance application scalability and efficiency.
- Apply Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) Patterns and Concepts to ensure robust and maintainable code.
- Implement RESTful web services and handle external and embedded databases effectively.
- Develop database schemas aligned with business processes and ensure data integrity.
- Create automated testing platforms and conduct unit tests to validate application functionality.
- Utilize code versioning tools such as Git and Bitbucket for efficient collaboration.
- Employ building tools like Ant, Maven, and Gradle to streamline development workflows.
- Demonstrate expertise in continuous integration and continuous deployment practices.
Additional Skills:
- Experience with Elastic Search, SOLR, or equivalent technologies.
- Understanding of Search platform eco-system components including Data Connectors, Data Transformation, and Query Clients.
- Ability to customize search workflows, including faceted search and query expansion using synonyms.
- Familiarity with messaging products like RabbitMQ, Kafka, or ActiveMQ.
- Experience working with databases like MongoDB, Cassandra, etc.
