Summary:
Altair seeks a Lead Data Scientist with a passion for problem-solving and a knack for complex thinking. As a key member of our team, you will pioneer the creation, design, and implementation of scalable data systems, transforming raw data into actionable insights. Your role will involve crafting data pipelines, modeling, validation, and deploying cutting-edge solutions in both cloud and on-premise environments.
Primary Skills Required:
- Proficiency in Python, SQL, and SAS
- Expertise in Data Science, Machine Learning, and MLOps
- Experience in end-to-end implementation of Data Science projects in cloud and on-premise settings
- Familiarity with Apache Spark, Apache Kafka, and cloud services (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure)
- Knowledge of NLP, Computer Vision, Transfer Learning, and Reinforcement Learning is advantageous
- Understanding of databases (SQL, NoSQL), data mining, segmentation techniques, and ETL concepts
- Hands-on experience with data science tools like SAS, DataIku, Azure ML Studio, etc.
- Additional skills in Kubernetes, Docker, real-time streaming, event processing, and stakeholder management are desirable
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a relevant field
- 6+ years of experience in a similar role, preferably 6-12 years
- Strong expertise in data mining, modeling, and organizational and analytical skills
- Proven problem-solving abilities and excellent written and verbal communication
