The Role:
As a Junior Analyst, you will play a vital role in document management, report extraction, data collation, and project support. With time, you’ll delve into quantitative and qualitative analysis of underlying loans collateralized by asset-backed securities (ABS) within the Canadian market. Proficiency in VBA, SQL, or Python is advantageous.
Responsibilities:
- Gather, organize, and analyze data from various sources to generate performance analytical reports.
- Maintain transparent communication with operations and technology teams regarding tasks and priorities.
- Drive process efficiencies and propose automation solutions.
- Take ownership of tasks with a focus on quality and accuracy.
- Demonstrate a strong learning curve.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s/master’s degree required; CFA preferred.
- 0-2 years of relevant financial data experience, with knowledge of Structured Finance at a rating agency being a plus.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with VBA, SQL, or Python is advantageous.
- Excellent writing, communication, and quantitative/analytical skills.
- Ability to approach problem-solving analytically and creatively.
