About DataLabs: At DataLabs, Capital One India, we tackle fundamental business problems at scale using advanced analytics, data science, and machine learning. We specialize in deriving valuable insights about various aspects of the business from large volumes of data to build cutting-edge products at an industrial scale.
Role Overview: As the Engineering Manager, you will lead a team to develop data products that address business and analytical needs. This involves collaborating with heads of lines of businesses in our Financial Services division, leading analytical teams to make impactful offers, and overseeing tech delivery of large product builds. You’ll recruit, develop, and motivate an exceptional team focused on developing world-class data products.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead a portfolio of diverse technology projects and a team of developers to create solutions meeting regulatory needs
- Stay updated on tech trends, experiment with new technologies, and mentor other members of the engineering community
- Collaborate with digital product managers to deliver robust cloud-based solutions driving powerful experiences for customers
- Utilize cloud native stack, build on AWS, and use technologies like Kubernetes and Serverless
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field
- 10+ years of experience in software engineering
- 5+ years experience with a public cloud (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud)
- 3+ years of people management experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree
- 10+ years of experience in Java, Scala, Python, Go, Javascript, Angular.js or Node.js
- 5+ years of experience in open source frameworks
- 5+ years of people management experience
- 2+ years of experience in Agile practices
- AWS Certification
