Job Summary:
As a Software Quality Assurance Engineer – Firmware, you’ll be responsible for designing, implementing, and executing comprehensive testing strategies to ensure product excellence. You’ll collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality software that meets user expectations and industry standards.
Responsibilities:
- Design quality assurance and test processes for firmware subsystems across various platforms.
- Analyze designs and determine test scripts, coding, automation, and integration activities.
- Write and execute complete testing plans, protocols, and documentation.
- Identify, debug, and create solutions for code and integration issues.
- Conduct code reviews and participate in design discussions to identify potential quality issues.
- Analyze testing processes and suggest improvements for enhancing efficiency and effectiveness.
- Lead project teams of software quality assurance engineers and development partners.
- Collaborate and communicate with management and development partners regarding test status, project progress, and issue resolution.
- Represent the software quality assurance team for all phases of larger development projects.
- Provide guidance and mentoring to less-experienced staff members.
Education & Experience Recommended:
- Four-year or graduate degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or related discipline, or commensurate work experience.
- Typically, 4-7 years of experience in software quality assurance or related field.

- Certified Software Quality Engineer
- Certified Associate in Software Quality (CASQ)
