We are in search of a highly proficient and seasoned Senior Software Engineer to join our Internal Systems Engineering team. Your role will be pivotal in crafting user interfaces that cater to the needs of our next-generation support tools, including Generative AI tools, for Cloudera’s Customer Operations Engineers (COEs).
Your primary focus will revolve around developing tools aimed at facilitating the easier resolution of issues encountered by our customers. You’ll closely collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver top-notch user interfaces that not only meet industry standards but surpass them. The ideal candidate will possess a robust technical background in user interface design and development, particularly with React, for web applications and tools.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement responsive and interactive user interfaces for software applications using state-of-the-art UI technologies and frameworks, with a specific emphasis on React.
- Collaborate with designers and backend developers to translate UI designs into code and ensure seamless integration with backend services.
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient UI code adhering to coding and quality/performance standards.
- Optimize application performance for maximum speed and scalability.
- Troubleshoot and debug UI-related issues as necessary.
- Stay abreast of the latest industry trends, technologies, Cloudera applications, and best practices to continually enhance software development processes and deliver high-quality products promptly.
- Work iteratively in an Agile development environment, actively participating in sprint planning, estimation, and other Agile ceremonies.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum of 3-4 years of experience in front-end development, with a strong emphasis on HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Proficiency in modern front-end frameworks, specifically React.
- Experience with responsive design and cross-browser compatibility.
- Proficient with version control systems such as Git.
- Solid understanding of UI/UX principles and best practices.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, Agile environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with deploying containerized applications (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.).
- Knowledge of server-side technologies such as Node.js or Python.
- Familiarity with UI testing frameworks such as Jest or Selenium.
- Experience with accessibility standards and guidelines.
