Job Opportunity: Business Operations OTC – Staff

Job Description: EY is seeking dynamic individuals to join our Finance Consulting Team in Kolkata. As a Consultant/Sr. Consultant, you will play a pivotal role in assisting clients with Business Transition assignments, particularly in the setup of Global Business Services (GBS) or Share Services Centre (SSC). Your responsibilities will include conducting process assessments, identifying opportunities for performance improvement, and implementing solutions. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the growth of a new service offering within a leading global firm.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proficiency in at least two finance domains such as Record to Report (RTR), Procure to Pay (PTP), Order to Cash (OTC), or FP&A.
  • Hands-on experience in GBS/SSC setup engagements and related activities.
  • Strong accounting skills with the ability to understand financial reports and statements.
  • Knowledge of Financial Consolidation, Cost Allocation, and Finance Planning processes.
  • Familiarity with financial close processes on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
  • Technical proficiency in ledger and sub-ledger systems, preferably SAP ERP/HANA or Oracle GL.
  • Experience or exposure to IFRS implementation projects is advantageous.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into technical language.
  • Excellent communication and articulation skills.
  • Willingness to travel (domestic and international) and work flexible shifts.

Skills and Attributes:

  • Consulting experience is preferred.
  • Confidence and professionalism in communication.
  • IFRS Certification is a plus.
  • Proficiency in English (oral and written).
  • Flexibility and adaptability in ambiguous situations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Team player with the ability to collaborate effectively.

Qualifications:

  • CA or MBA (Finance) required.
  • Other professional degrees such as CPA, CFA, or CMA considered based on relevant experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience in Business Transition/GBS/SSC setup activities.
  • Experience in Accounting Regulation Change and IFRS Implementation projects is advantageous.
  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in Business Finance Transformation and Project Management.
  • Exposure to tools like ERP, HFM, Visio, ARIS, etc.
  • Familiarity with IFRS Implementation and Reporting.
