Job Description: Lead Consultant – SQL Developer Support (ITO079250)

Position Overview: We are inviting applications for the role of Lead Consultant – SQL Developer Support. In this role, you will primarily be responsible for supporting and enhancing web applications.

Responsibilities:

Resolve technical issues for consumers, partners, clients, or internal stakeholders by addressing assigned issues through ticketing systems, following process specifications and operating procedures.
Collaborate with data analysts and stakeholders to understand business requirements and troubleshoot/enhance database structures and queries.
Write and optimize complex SQL queries.
Manage SQL code in a source control system.
Contribute to continual improvement by suggesting enhancements, automation, or new technologies.
Debug and implement database performance monitoring and tuning.
Manage and resolve production incidents, covering system outages, job failures, system defects, data defects, and end-user support.
Execute day-to-day operations via ticketing tools and processes.
Ensure appropriate tools are updated in accordance with SLA specifications with case notes, status updates, and case closure information.
Test application features.
Lead/participate in SQL code reviews.
Provide technical support, including troubleshooting and resolving data-related issues.
Stay current with database and technologies and the direction of the general database industry.
Provide technical mentoring and coaching for junior and mid-level developers.

Qualifications: Minimum qualifications:

E./ B.Tech/ MCA or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications:

Hands-on experience in SQL programming, debugging, performance tuning, database design, table schema, and basic knowledge of database administration.
Strong knowledge of creating packages, stored procedures, cursors, triggers, functions, joins, replication, and modifying SQL scripts in Oracle.
Experience with database design, data modeling, and data warehousing.
Strong knowledge in handling cloud-hosted DB models and schemas.
Strong knowledge in normalization, data model (logical, physical).
Strong knowledge of Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS) concepts.
Experience in database performance tuning.
Knowledge of Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL.
Analyze existing SQL queries for performance improvements.
Strong knowledge of PL/SQL is a must.
Basic knowledge of UNIX environment.
Knowledge of ETL processes and tools will be an added advantage.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Excellent communication skills to effectively interface with clients.
